Pitstop: All About That Bass

Everyone has probably heard Megan Trainor’s catchy and relevant (body image issues are almost the de rigeur topic these days, aren’t they?) tune by now. (Watch the video here if you haven’t. I won’t judge you if you don’t judge me.) While the original is catchy as it is, and is one of my guilty pleasures, the covers have been extremely entertaining! Here are a few I thoroughly enjoyed…

Jimmy Fallon always always always has fun!
(Did you see the Daniel Radcliffe version of Blackalicious’ Alphabet Aerobics?! Epic.)

The Sam Willows does this strange, quirky, campy version. Looks like they had fun.

I was so captivated by this jazz version that I’m now following the Postmodern Jukebox on Spotify. And hey, there’s an actual bass in the video. (Also watch this strange and dramatic version of Royals… unless you’re afraid of clowns.)

Emblem3 does this great version. Voices.

Avi Kaplan’s voice lends itself really well to this song… in a literal and ironic fashion.
